Different Charging Methods
The Ivation Portable Outdoor comes with a variety of different charging methods that make this product rack up some serious Ease of Use points. We love that this product utilizers rechargeable batteries and that there are multiple different ways to recharge.

First, you can charge using the USB or wall plug that comes with your purchase. That means you can get a full charge before you leave your house, and that you can charge in the car (if your car has a USB adapter) or through your laptop or solar panel.

We give major points for Power Source because each full charge of the batteries will deliver to you about 1 full hour of pump run time which is more than enough time for the whole family to get a rinse in while on the go.

Only charge with a 5-volt adapter or less.

Multiple Hanging Methods
The Ivation comes with a few different hanging methods to make using out on the trail easier. The product comes with an S-hook for hanging over branches and it also comes with a suction cup for securing overhead on a flat, smooth surface. We like this variety and award Features points here.

In order to use the pump, you will need a collection of water. You can fill a sink or a bucket of water, or any basin that the end of the pump can be fully submerged in. And you simply control the hand-held unit with a basic on and off switch (remembering to switch off even when there’s no water as leaving on will damage the pump and drain the battery).

The pressure of the shower is light and works well for animals and babies too at .66 gallons per minute. When using a full 5-gallon bucket of water, you will be able to enjoy about a 10-minute shower.

The hose measures about 6 feet long, though the entirety of the unit is about 6 and a half feet. The unit in total weighs less than 2 pounds so gets major points for Portability here, though the bulk of the design is not best suited for backpacking.

This shower rings up on the lower end of our price range and we love its value because it is super easy to use and can be recharged for multiple uses, even when you’re on the go. Plus, we love its battery life and how much use you can get out per gallon while still enjoying a steady stream of water.

Lightweight and Compact
This option is one of the most compact units on our list. It weighs in at just over 1 pound and it rolls up nicely on itself when not in use. Of all of the showers on our list, this might be the best for backpackers to consider. We give points for Portability here.

The Advanced Elements 5 Gallon requires absolutely zero batteries or charging to work, so we give all points possible for Power Source here.

Heats with Propane
The Camp Chef Triton is the perfect companion for chilly weather RVing and camping. If you are tired of shivering to death under frigid showers while you’re out on the trail, then this is your new best friend.

In order to operate this puppy, you’ll need to install 2 D batteries as these ignite the propane that you’ll install later. The batteries are not included. After installing the batteries, you’ll hook up a standard garden hose to the unit and ensure that you are getting sufficient pressure. The connector to the hose is included with your purchase.

Then, you’ll hook up the 20-pound propane tank (sold separately) with the hose and 20-pound regulator that comes with your purchase. Once you’ve done this, you’ll be able to enjoy around 11 hours of truly hot showers.

We know that this setup is a bit involved so we dock some points for Power Source, Portability, and Ease of Use, but we give all of the points in Features because this is the most premium outdoor shower option on the list.

Adjustable Showerhead and Hanging
The Camp Chef Triton Water Heater can be hung easily or mounted with the mounting hardware that is included with your purchase. Make sure the shower is secure because you don’t want the shower to fall and break free of the propane attachment.

There are 4 different settings on the showerhead that you can enjoy--jet, shower, mist, and off. And you’ll be able to use the 72-inch shower hose to get to all those hard to reach places.

And you’ll be able to adjust the temperature of the water as well. When enjoying 1.5 gallons of flow per minute, you can up the water temperature from the hose by about 40 degrees Fahrenheit. When using a lower flow, you can up the temperature by as much as 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

The Camp Chef Triton Water Heater rings up at the tippy top of our price range but we love its value because it is the most premium and deluxe outdoor camping shower experience on our list and will genuinely deliver a shot shower as if you were in the comfort of your own home.

Plus, each setup delivers about 11 hours of hot showers and that is more than enough for practically any journey.

Easy to Use
The Coleman is a very portable and lightweight option, perfect for tossing into your bag without taking up too much space. We loved the easy-to-use on and off valve, so simple a child could operate it without problems.

Eco-Friendly
Because this product uses solar energy to heat the water, it's a great option for environmentally-friendly campers who want to make a difference in the world.

Cost and Value
The Coleman is a very affordable option that's perfect for couples or small families to take camping with them. We loved that it uses solar energy, making it a very eco-friendly product. This particular item comes with two showers for one low price, further adding to its value.

Larger Showerhead
The Trofoty features a larger showerhead than others on the list. This serves to improve the user experience a bit more and will increase the amount of water that is actually flowing. That being said, more water comes out at a time so each full 5-gallon fill will not last as long. We give points for Ease of Use and Features here.

We also like the lever on this showerhead better than some others on the list. Instead of pulling up and down on the head, there is a lever above the head that allows you to turn on and stop the flow of water. Users prefer this feature, so we award points for Features here.

This is powered by the rays of the sun. That means you won’t have to worry about bringing charged batteries along for the ride. You will enjoy a temperature gauge on the back of the bag to see how warm the water inside is.

The Sportneer is a neat little option that comes with a handy mesh travel bag for ease in transport. The whole unit rolls up nicely and is not much bigger than a tablet so it can literally be stored anywhere. We give points for Portability here.

Adjustable Strap
This shower bag comes with a sturdy adjustable strap. This means that you can change the length of the strap to suit where you are hanging the bg from. The higher you hand the bag, the more pressure you will generate. We give points for Features here.

As with all solar showers on our list, you will not need batteries so we give Power Source points here. The back is clear to check the water level and you will enjoy having a temperature gauge to see how hot the water inside is.

Over 1 Gallon of Pressure Per Minute
The ZANMAX produces a good amount of pressure for a pump this size. You’ll be able to enjoy a steady stream of over 1 gallon per minute being pushed through the showerhead. That’s one of the highest advertised pressures on our list. We give points for features here.

Pump Attaches Outside
This option has made modifications to its pump to make it easier to use. The pump secures to the outside of your bucket and comes with a simple on and off switch. Simply run the pump line into the bucket and the shower line out and you’re good to go. This means you don’t have to reach into the bucket of water to turn the pump on and off. However, we find from reviewers that the pump is only water-resistant as it is not meant to be submerged. This causes some issues with durability and longevity so we dock points for this.

Submerged Pump
This option functions by submerging the pump entirely in the bucket of water you’re going to use. This means that the pump is waterproof and has a filter so it will last for longer. However, you will have to turn the pump on and off at the pump which will be submerged in water. Users found this to be a design flaw. We take points for Ease of Use here.

Nice Showerhead

Many reviewers found the flow of water to be quite weak, though it can still get the job done.

Comes with Foot Pump
The Nemo Helio comes with a foot pump to ensure that you get continuous pressure. After reading reviews, it seems like you will need to pump the pump pretty regularly while you are using the spray nozzle as it is hard to maintain pressure otherwise, so we’re not sure about the advertised 5-7 minutes of continuous flow. We docked points for ease of use here.

11 Liters
This option has the capacity to hold 11 liters of water. However, you will need to ensure that you have a funnel to put water into the device as the opening is quite small and the handle extends over the opening making it tricky to fill. Plus, some found it hard to press the closure back in to seal the bag, so we take points for ease of Use and features here.

We do like that you won’t need any batteries or chargers for this device and that it weighs just 1.6 pounds. Plus, it collapses nicely into its own travel bag so we give points for portability and power source here.

With your purchase, you’ll get the shower and pump, plus the 7-foot long hose and nozzle. We don’t like that you have to squeeze the nozzle when you want to use it and docked points for this. However, some found this useful for dishes or spraying down pets.

The Nemo Helio rings up in the middle of our price range and we like its value because you won’t need to purchase extra batteries or worry about charging and because you can use it for an array of outdoor needs.

Comes with Collapsable Bucket
This option is the only pump shower on our list that comes with its own bucket. We like that the bucket is super easy to store and that it takes up virtually no space once it is collapsed. We give points for Portability here.
