Best Tasco Scopes Reviewed & Rated for Quality
1. They work.
2. They work for way less.
While some riflescope industry leaders will cost you in the hundreds (and maybe even thousands), almost all Tasco scopes ring up under the $100 mark--but that doesn’t mean that they’re “cheap.”
Let’s consider this. What exactly is the goal of a scope? Scopes are designed to let you hone in on your prey with several times the magnification and most allow you to see where your shot will land with the crosshair once you pull that trigger. You want to fire the perfect shot--just once--and a riflescope makes that possible.
Tasco scopes can get this done just as well as the more expensive guys, so unless you’re a hunter who treats his gear like designer purses, do yourself a favor and go with one of these instead.
Criteria Used for Evaluation
When selecting the products for this Ten Best List, we made sure that we highlighted the products with the best features.
One of the main features we pay attention to are the reticles. We feature several different reticle types on this list. Some of them include the True Mil-Dot reticle, the 30/30 reticle, the diamond reticle, the VZR reticle, and the ProShot reticle.
We also work to draw your attention to the different types of lenses and coatings on our list. The coatings on a lens work to bring clearer imagery and sharper pictures because they eliminate glare and keep water from interfering with the picture.
We highlight the different types of focuses (fixed and eyebell).
And, of course, we always point out the different magnification specifications, exit pupil diameters, field of view measurements, and objective lens size.
When selecting the items on this list, it was important for us to consider size as well. This helps to guide the buyer to know whether the scope in question is going to be too large for a gun.
We give you the dimensions for each product so that you can be sure you don’t get a product that is too large to mount properly and that causes your gun to become unbalanced and unwieldy.
Durability was another major consideration for us. Because these products are going to be exposed to the elements, we want to ensure that they are up to the task. We love that these products are weatherproof. But more importantly, we love that many of them are shockproof.
Shockproofing is important because the scope will recoil along with the gun when it is fired. If the scope is not shockproof, you run the risk of parts of the scope coming loose which can interfere with the overall function of the scope.
When considering versatility, we are looking at how many different gun styles and particular scope can fit on. The smaller a scope, the easier it can be fit onto a larger variety of guns (not just rifles).
One of our favorite things about making this is list is that it is chock full of products with some of the best value on the market. These products are extremely well made and durable, and they function as they say they will at a literal fraction of the cost of more premium products on the market.
